Song No 2: Dashti (1)
The second song, performed with the accompaniment of Mirzā Hossein Gholi Khān Farāhāni on the Tār on the first day of recording, was titled Dashti. In this piece, Djenāb Damāvandi delivered a vocal performance in the Dashti style, a derivative of the Shour mode, using a poem by his contemporary, Mirzā Soleimān Khān Shirāzi, known as Rokn ol-Molk, with the pen name Khalaf.
