Last night, the first commemorative ceremony for Mohammad Falahi, the renowned traditional Iranian vocalist known as "Djenab Damavandi", was held in the main hall of Arasbaran Cultural Center in Tehran. This grand event, attended by distinguished masters of traditional music, scholars, and admirers of Persian art and history, was a tribute to the enduring legacy of this remarkable artist.

Relying on family documents, rare archives, and historical records, the book meticulously chronicles the life and artistic activities of Master Djenab. From the recording of his works with the Gramophone Company in 1912 to teaching students such as Ghamar al-Molouk Vaziri and Eghbal Azar, this book not only provides a comprehensive biography of him but also clarifies his position in the evolution of traditional Iranian music.
During the unveiling ceremony, Kian Fallahi shared a few words about his motivation for this work and emphasized that this piece is a tribute to his grandfather and all the artists who strived to elevate Iranian culture. This ceremony was not only a tribute to Master Djenab Damavandi but also an opportunity to reflect on the significance of traditional music as an integral part of Iran’s cultural identity.
